As you will have read in previous newsletters, 2016 was a bumper year for overseas property sales in general and Simply Overseas in particular.
We had our busiest year for almost a decade and, frankly, believe there is every possibility of this trend continuing in 2017 too.
Spain’s economic growth was forecast to be 3.2% for the year 2016 according to the Bank of Spain so this bodes extremely well.
The report also highlights the increase in the construction sector and the purchase of new housing.
The country has also been praised by the International Monetary Fund for its “impressive” economic recovery.
There really does seem to be a feeling of optimism again in Spain as we witnessed during our December visit.
One of the lovely areas we specialise in is the gorgeous eastern Costa del Sol.
Around 45 minutes from Malaga we find Frigiliana which has been declared one of Spain’s “Seven Rural Wonders” by leading travel website “Top Rural”.
The award was accepted by the town’s mayor at a ceremony in Madrid.
The town is also a member of “The Most Beautiful Towns of Spain” association.
